Is poor eyesight, which necessitates glasses for clear vision, considered among the afflictions that expiate sins and earn great rewards, and does it fall under the hadith: "If Allah loves a servant, He afflicts him"?

What afflicts a Muslim of harm and hardship, such as weakened eyesight, is a type of tribulation. It is hoped that whoever is afflicted with such a tribulation, while remaining steadfast in obedience to Allah, will fall under the mentioned Hadith.
