Is the husband obligated to change his job to avoid temptation? Is his income unlawful if he remains in it? Is the wife entitled to seek divorce from him for his refusal to emigrate or teach in a Muslim country that observes Sharia regulations?

The earnings a husband receives from his teaching job are permissible as long as he performs his duties as required. The fact that he teaches in mixed schools and is exposed to temptations does not make his earnings unlawful. Therefore, there is no right to demand a divorce for this reason, nor for his refusal to emigrate to another country for a permissible job. Emigration is obligatory only for one who cannot openly practice the rituals of his religion or fears temptation in his faith. The husband should strive for righteousness and balance, and protect himself. Scholars have permitted working in such schools if it is not possible to obtain another suitable job. And a Muslim must lower his gaze, guard his tongue, and stay away from temptation.
