Do Laylat al-Qadr and the Greatest Name of Allah activate imagination? How many times should the Names of Allah be repeated for a swift response? How can one ascertain the number and the Greatest Name of Allah? Is there an istikhara (guidance prayer) for these matters?

The Night of Decree and Allah's Greatest Name were concealed by Allah for a wisdom He knows. He may reveal them to whomever He wills among His righteous servants. Some scholars have opined that Allah's Greatest Name is "Allah." There is no mention of seeking guidance (istikharah) regarding this matter. Whoever desires success in this world and the Hereafter must be mindful of Allah (have taqwa) and engage in abundant supplication. As for repeating Allah's Greatest Name or any of His beautiful names in isolation, that is an innovation (bid'ah).
