Is it permissible to offer unrestricted supplications during the obligatory prayers (Salah)?

It is recommended for the worshiper to strive in supplication during prostration and before the Taslim. Regarding prostration, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "As for prostration, strive hard in supplication, for it is most likely that your prayers will be answered." Supplication in these two positions is unrestricted, so the worshiper may supplicate for their worldly and religious needs in any form.
