The question

Is it permissible to engage in interest-based financing, such as financing for purchasing a car, if the beneficiary of the financing assures that he will pay the installments on their regular due dates without delay, and on the pretext that he will not fall into usury, specifically according to the Hanafi school of thought?

The answer

It is not permissible to enter into a contract that includes an interest-based (riba) condition, due to the impermissibility of affirming it and consenting to it. This is unless one is compelled by a necessity or a considerable need, in which case one should firmly intend to repay it on time and strive to do so as much as possible.
