Is it permissible to eat or drink from the home of people who steal water and electricity?

It is not permissible to eat food prepared with stolen water or electricity, because both are incorporated into the food and drink. An exception is made for those in dire necessity, for whom not using them would lead to destruction or severe hardship, and who cannot afford to pay for them. In such cases, it is permissible for them to use them and eat from their food. The state is obligated to provide them freely if it is able, otherwise, the wealthy are responsible for providing for them.
