Is it permissible for men to use hair extensions according to Sharia?

Hair extensions for men are strictly forbidden. "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the woman who has them affixed." If this applies to women, who adorn themselves, it applies even more so to men.
