Does a divorce occur with the words "If she goes to the airport, then she is divorced" if the wife travels, knowing that consummation has not taken place and the dowry has not yet been paid, and that the words were spoken in front of her uncle, not in front of her?

If you conditioned the divorce of your legally contracted wife on an action, and you performed that action, the divorce takes effect according to the majority of scholars, and this is the most preponderant and authoritative view. You are required to pay an expiation for breaking an oath (kaffarat yamin) if you did not intend divorce but rather prevention or threat. Some Shafi'is hold the view that divorce does not occur if the wife traveled while ignorant of the condition and the husband intended to inform her but she did not become aware. If the divorce occurs before consummation, she is irrevocably divorced from you with a minor separation (baynunah sughra), she is entitled to half the mahr, and she is not required to observe an iddah. If you wish to return to her, a new marriage contract is necessary. The wife's knowledge of the conditioning is not a prerequisite for the divorce to take effect.
