Are there any Prophetic traditions that speak about the necessity of distributing inheritance?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded the division of the inheritance among its rightful heirs, saying: "Divide the wealth among the heirs of the Fara'id (obligatory shares) according to the Book of Allah. Whatever remains after the Fara'id is for the nearest male relative." In the two Sahih collections, it is narrated with the wording: "Give the obligatory shares to their rightful owners, and whatever remains is for the nearest male relative."
