Cooperating on website design is subject to Allah's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." If it is known or highly probable that the websites will be used to promote innovations (bid'ah), sins, or spread misguidance, then it is not permissible to design them. The money earned from such work would be unlawful (haram), and the designer would be a participant in the sin. It is not appropriate to design websites for Sufis or transcribe their lectures, especially for those who lack sufficient religious knowledge to distinguish truth from falsehood. Such individuals might design for them or oversee lectures that contain innovations and misguidance which they may not recognize.
