Is it permissible to enroll in university despite the mother's anger, and will one be held accountable for her displeasure in this situation?

We understand that the mother is preventing her daughter from studying at a distant university. If the prevention is due to a legitimate Sharia reason or harm that would befall the mother, then it is obligatory to obey the mother and not disobey her. However, if the prevention is without justification, then obedience is not obligatory, and there is no sin upon the daughter for disobeying her. It is advisable to obey the mother unless doing so results in harm to one's religion or worldly life, for obeying and honoring the mother are among the greatest acts of worship and means of success.
