Is it permissible for a woman who was born with male and female genitalia, and whose superfluous and non-functional reproductive organs were removed and replaced with hormones, and who then underwent vaginal dilation procedures requiring daily exercises involving the insertion of foreign objects, to undergo these surgical operations? Is she sinful for performing the daily vaginal exercises? Does this fall under the ruling of masturbation? Is ghusl (ritual bath) required after the discharge of clear, viscous fluid from the vagina? Is it permissible for her to inform a suitor of her inability to conceive?

We ask Allah to grant this woman success and to provide her with a righteous husband, and to reward her for her affliction. It is permissible to remove male or female organs based on the predominant characteristics. So, if the signs of femininity prevail, it is permissible to treat her medically in a way that removes any doubt regarding her femininity. There is no blame upon this woman for performing the mentioned exercises for treatment. It appears that what comes out after the exercises is madhi (pre-ejaculatory fluid), which is impure and invalidates wudu' (ablution). If a large amount comes out after arousal, then it is mani (semen) which necessitates ghusl (definition) (ritual bath). There is no blame upon her for undergoing breast augmentation if it is for the purpose of treatment and removing a defect, not for enhancing beauty. It is permissible for her to marry, provided she informs the suitor of her inability to conceive.
