Is it permissible to supplicate with "Sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam" (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) for someone other than Prophet Muhammad, and what are the specific phrases for each of: "Radiyallahu 'anhu" (may Allah be pleased with him), "Rahimahullah" (may Allah have mercy on him), "Sallamahullah" (may Allah grant him safety)? And is it permissible to supplicate for scholars such as Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz with "Radiyallahu 'anhu" or "'Alayhis-salam" (peace be upon him) after their death?

1. The supplication "Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam" (May Allah exalt him and grant him peace) is not exclusive to our Prophet Muhammad; rather, it applies to all prophets, peace and blessings be upon them.

2. Scholars have conventionally designated "Radi Allahu anhu" (May Allah be pleased with him) as a motto for the Companions, and there is no harm in occasionally supplicating with it for any Muslim.

3. Supplicating with "Rahimahu Allah" (May Allah have mercy on him) and "Sallamahu Allah" (May Allah grant him safety) is permissible for both living and deceased Muslims.
