How do we respond to the disbelievers' claim that Muhammad plagiarized the Quran's scientific miracles from the Greeks, and that he failed by stating in the Quran that we were created from blood, which is what the Greeks believed?

The claim made by disbelievers that the Qur’an copied the stages of embryonic development from the Greeks has no scientific value. The hypothesis that there is a connection between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Greek heritage is a scientific betrayal, because there is no evidence for this relationship; on the contrary:

Firstly: The Prophet’s homeland was Mecca, and it was a land of ignorance before prophethood. Its people had no scientific contact with other nations, as indicated by the Almighty’s saying: ﴿That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous.﴾ [Hud: 49].

Secondly: The Prophet’s (peace be upon him) personality and conduct were well-known to the people of Mecca. He did not care for books or sciences, as the Almighty said: ﴿And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe it with your right hand. Otherwise, the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt.﴾ [Al-Ankabut: 48]. Moreover, the Qur’an’s description of the embryo is precise and detailed, encompassing the initial formation of man and his destiny after death, unlike the descriptions of Greek physicians, which were merely partial observations.

Thirdly: If what is in the Qur’an were a translation from Greek, it would show signs of translation, such as foreign terms. This is not found in the Qur’an, as in the Almighty’s saying: ﴿The tongue of the one they allude to is foreign, and this is a clear Arabic tongue.﴾ [An-Nahl: 103].

Fourthly: The descriptions of embryonic formation by Greek physicians were not unified. How then did the Prophet (peace be upon him) arrive at the correct statement among others? This confirmation indicates that the Qur’an is from Allah, as the Almighty said: ﴿Say, [O Muhammad], "It was sent down by He who knows the secret [thought] in the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."﴾ [Al-Furqan: 6].
