Is it true that patience descends with tribulation, like illness and medicine?

There is no statement that indicates the validity of every tribulation that descends bringing patience with it. However, whoever Allah grants success to be patient when a tribulation descends, for them is a great reward. Allah Almighty said: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits. And give good tidings to the patient, who, when adversity strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." The affair of the believer is entirely good; if prosperity overtakes him, he is thankful, and if adversity overtakes him, he is patient. It is incumbent upon the Muslim, when a tribulation befalls him, to ask Allah for patience, as Talut and his people did: "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
