If the deceased left behind a wife, three daughters, and a full sister or a paternal sister, then the root of the issue is twenty-four: the daughters receive two-thirds (sixteen), the wife receives one-eighth (three), and the sister receives the remainder (five) because she becomes an 'asabah (residuaries) with the daughters. However, if the sister is a maternal sister, she is excluded due to the presence of the daughters. The surplus of the inheritance is returned to the daughters, but not to the wife. If the one left behind is a sister of a sister, she does not inherit, and the remainder is returned to the daughters. We advise the questioner to refer to the courts for the division of the inheritance.
