Is it permissible to move from Britain to Medina, following the example of the Prophet's migration (Hijrah), may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him?

Hijrah (definition) (emigration) from disbelieving lands to Muslim lands is obligatory for anyone who cannot openly practice their religion, based on the words of Allah the Almighty: (Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while they are oppressing themselves, [the angels] will say, "In what [condition] were you?" They will say, "We were oppressed in the land." They [the angels] will say, "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?" Such people — their refuge is Hell, and wretched is it as a destination.) An-Nisa/97. And based on the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I am free of any Muslim who resides among the polytheists." As for one who is able to openly practice their religion, hijrah is not obligatory for them. If they believe that their stay is more beneficial for da'wah (calling to Islam) and secure for their religion, then their residence is preferable. It is not a condition that hijrah be to Madinah, but rather to any Muslim country where a Muslim can establish the rituals of their religion and feel secure in their faith.
