The matter of prayer for a Muslim is not easy, as it is the second pillar of Islam after the Two Testimonies. Scholars have agreed that whoever abandons it out of denial is a disbeliever, but they differed on whoever abandons it out of negligence: some said he is a disbeliever, and some said he is a dissolute person. Therefore, one must repent to Allah and commit to performing prayers on time and in congregation. Abandoning prayer and practicing forbidden acts cause a constricted life, and there is no cure for that except by returning to Allah and repenting to Him.
