What is the ruling on being named "Abu Al-Tayyib"; is it permissible?

Scholars have differed regarding counting "Al-Tayyib" (the Good/Pure One) among the names of Allah, and the correct view is that it is not one of them. The hadith: "Indeed, Allah is Tayyib (Good/Pure) and accepts nothing but that which is tayyib (good/pure)" affirms it as an attribute, not as a name. Assuming it were a name, it is not among the names exclusive to Allah, by which it is impermissible to be named. The door of attributes is wider than the door of names, and it is permissible to be named "Al-Tayyib" and to be kunya-ed as "Abu Al-Tayyib."
