Are the sciences of the Arabic language and the sciences of the Qur'an among the beneficial Islamic sciences for a Muslim in this world and the Hereafter?

The sciences of the Quran are among the Sharia sciences, and whoever learns them attains reward, recompense, virtue, and elevation. Linguistic sciences such as grammar (Nahw), morphology (Sarf), and rhetoric (Balagha) are considered among the Sharia sciences if their purpose is to understand the words of Allah and His Messenger, for understanding the Book and the Sunnah necessitates knowledge of the Arabic language. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said that the Arabic language is part of the religion, and knowing it is a communal obligation (fard kifaya) for understanding the Book and the Sunnah, for that which is necessary to fulfill an obligation is itself an obligation. It is narrated that Umar ibn al-Khattab said: "Gain deep understanding in the Sunnah, and gain deep understanding in Arabic, and articulate the Quran correctly, for it is Arabic," and his saying: "Learn Arabic, for it is part of your religion, and learn the obligatory duties (fara'id), for they are part of your religion." Thus, understanding Arabic is a path to understanding sayings, and understanding the Sunnah is a path to understanding actions.
