When should one strive and demand their rights, and when should one surrender to what Allah has destined for them in terms of sustenance and portion?

"Provision" (al-rizq) is an established active attribute of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and "The Bestower of Provision" (al-Razzaq) and "The Provider" (al-RRaziq) are among His names. Allah has prescribed the provision for every human being and commanded them to strive to seek it. Therefore, taking the necessary means while relying on Allah is required. Abandoning the means is a deviation, and relying entirely on them is also a deviation. The truth is that a Muslim should take the lawful means while relying on Allah, knowing that what has befallen him was not to miss him, and what has missed him was not to befall him. Hence, one must strive to seek provision while fearing Allah and moderating the pursuit, without despairing or seeking to obtain it by disobeying Allah, for what is with Allah cannot be attained except through obedience to Him.
