What is the ruling on preventing a wife from meeting her husband—while she is in her father's house—due to existing disputes between them and the presence of three children, given the husband's repeated attempts at reconciliation and her family's refusal to allow him to sit with her to find a solution?

The wife's family does not have the right to prevent her from sitting with her husband and seeking reconciliation. The Sharia has prohibited preventing a divorced woman from returning to her husband; how then about someone who is still under his marital bond? The husband has more authority over his wife, and obedience to him is more incumbent than obedience to her guardian. It is advised that wise individuals intervene to remind the family of the importance of reconciliation. The spouses should strive to resolve their differences and not leave room for Satan to separate them, and beware of divorce, which may lead to the loss of their children.
