Is she who has become addicted to pornography and spoken with strange men about sexual matters considered an adulteress, and must the legal punishment (hadd) be carried out upon her? And does the verse, "The adulterer does not marry except an adulteress or a polytheist, and as for the adulteress, none marries her except an adulterer or a polytheist" (Quran 24:3), mean that it is impermissible for her to marry a believer? And what is the ruling regarding her actions now?

Watching pornographic films is a great evil and a gateway to corruption; it is one of the devil's means of temptation and can lead to lewd speech. Therefore, whoever has done so must hasten to sincere repentance, for Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan" [An-Nur: 21], and His saying: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah.'" [Az-Zumar: 53]. Sound repentance requires specific conditions, and if the sin is repeated after repentance, one must not despair of Allah's mercy. Rather, one must initiate a new repentance, feeling that "Allah wants to accept your repentance" [An-Nisa: 27]. The mentioned sins are not considered actual fornication that necessitates the prescribed punishment, but rather metaphorical fornication.
