Is reciting Surat Ar-Rahman and Al-Waqi'ah every night before sleep permissible, or is it considered an innovation (bid'ah)?

There is no objection to reciting chapters and verses from the Holy Quran every day or night, and this is not an innovation (bid'ah). For the Quran is commanded to be recited at all times. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved Surat Al-Ikhlas. The Prophet also encouraged the recitation of the Quran, as it will intercede for its companions on the Day of Resurrection. The important thing is not to believe that reciting specific chapters every night is legislatively encouraged or a Sunnah from the Prophet without evidence.
