Is it permissible to borrow from a bank with the intention of repaying only the principal amount of the loan, without the interest, due to dire necessity and for the purpose of bringing one's wife and children over, given the lack of means of livelihood in one's home country and the abundance of temptations in a foreign land?

It is not permissible to borrow from the bank with interest, as this constitutes aiding in usury. Allah the Almighty has forbidden aiding in sin, as He says: [And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression]. It is advisable to communicate with Islamic centers and associations to facilitate travel matters. Perhaps residing with family in your home country would be better and more suitable, as Allah the Almighty says: [And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect].
