The question

Is the prayer valid for someone who departed on a journey before Dhuhr, and the time for Dhuhr prayer came upon him while on the way, but he did not pray until he reached another city an hour before Asr, so he combined Dhuhr with Asr, and then he did not pray Maghrib and combined it with Ishaa, knowing that he intended to stay for one day?

The answer

It is permissible to avail oneself of the travel concessions, such as shortening (qasr) and combining (jam') prayers, after passing the last urban area of the city from which one departed, provided the distance reaches 83 kilometers or more. Delaying Dhuhr prayer is permissible if it is intended to be combined with Asr as a delayed combination (jam' ta'khir). The concession begins to apply after leaving the populated area of the city and continues throughout the journey without interruption, unless the city the traveler arrives at is their homeland, or they have a spouse there, or they intend to stay there for four days. Completion of prayer (ittam) is obligatory if one is led in prayer by a resident (muqim). Delaying Maghrib prayer to combine it with Isha is permissible if the intention for combining is made at the time of the first prayer.
