Why did God not mention traversing the air in His saying, "It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea," even though it is true and humans have been able to do it through God's subjugation?

The answer

The noble verse: "And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’an every kind of example" means that Allah Almighty has mentioned in the Qur’an every meaning that benefits and honors people, not just sensory examples.

When Allah Almighty mentioned mankind's movement on land and sea, He mentioned a part of the locomotion known to the people of that time, while knowing that He would enable them to move in the air in the future.

Contemporary exegetes have added aerial movement as another type of locomotion that Allah has increased for us in our era. Thus, the verse: "It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea," includes the ability to travel and the means Allah has subjugated for humans. In modern times, trains, cars, and airplanes have been added to this.

So, praise be to Allah for His former and latter blessings.
