Does AIDS transmit to the husband if he sucks the breast of his wife who is infected with the disease, and what is the ruling on divorcing a wife infected with AIDS if the mother requests it?

You must advise your wife and prevent her from what Allah has forbidden. If she responds and repents, then you must treat her kindly, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best of you is the best to his family."

You should not divorce her to fulfill your mother's wish. Rather, you can combine obedience to a righteous wife with filial piety towards your mother.

If your mother's insistence on divorce stems from fear of the disease being transmitted to you, then this fear is valid, based on the hadith: "There should be no harm nor reciprocal harm." This harm can be avoided by marrying another woman.

However, if the wife does not adhere to Allah's commands and does not avoid His prohibitions, then there is no good in her. Specialists should be consulted regarding the transmission of the disease.
