What is the ruling on using saliva to turn the pages of banknotes that contain the name of Allah in order to count them?

It is permissible to use saliva to turn over banknotes that contain the name of Allah, provided that the saliva does not directly touch the name of Allah. This is because jurists deem it permissible to erase Quranic inscriptions with saliva if there is no intent of disrespect. Some even consider it permissible even if it contains the name of Allah. However, if the saliva directly touches the name of Allah, the Shafi'is permit it while the Malikis forbid it.
