Is it permissible to slaughter chickens for the sake of Allah, and what is the lawful method of slaughtering and the accepted supplication at the time of slaughter, and is it permissible to distribute the meat of this slaughtered animal to people of innovation?

It is permissible to give chicken meat and other lawful foods as charity or a good deed, provided it is slaughtered according to Islamic law by cutting the jugular veins, trachea, and esophagus, and mentioning the name of Allah. Giving this meat as charity to the wicked, innovators, and disbelievers carries reward, but the righteous are more deserving. As for ritual sacrifices such as the Hady (sacrifice during Hajj), Aqiqah (sacrifice for a newborn), and Udhiyah (sacrifice during Eid al-Adha), they are only valid if made from livestock (camels, cattle, and sheep); as Allah the Almighty says: {And for every nation We have appointed a ritual sacrifice that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals.}
