Is the name "Kibriya'" (pride) forbidden without the definite article "al-" (the), if the intention is loftiness and might, and not the forbidden meaning, knowing that pride belongs to Allah the Almighty?
We do not see the permissibility of naming with "Kibriya'" (arrogance/pride), because it is reprehensible in Islamic law and a cause for deprivation from Paradise, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "No one who has a mustard seed's weight of kibriya' in his heart will enter Paradise." It is also authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said about Satan: "And kibriya' inflated him," so it is not permissible to name with what is an inflation of Satan.
