Is someone who mentions a Prophetic Hadith in a playful voice and in a non-serious manner considered a mocker and a hypocrite?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Sunnah must be glorified, and one must show proper etiquette when mentioning him and his words. Violating this could be disliked (makruh), forbidden (haram), or an act of disbelief (kufr).

As for the ruling on the joke made by the person mentioned, it depends on whether his joking was accompanied by mockery or not. We have already explained the meaning of mockery, its types, and its rulings in previous fatwas. We caution against the danger of obsessive doubts (waswasa) in this matter, for the mere prohibition is sufficient for deterrence and advice, and it is not a condition for the advised person to fall into disbelief or hypocrisy.
