Is it permissible to supplicate for the Faculty of Engineering to be an intercessor on the Day of Resurrection, or is this considered an transgression?

The student's intention in his supplication—that Allah makes his studies reckonable, for which he will be rewarded, or that Muslims benefit from them—is a good intention and a noble purpose, and it is not considered an transgression in supplication. Nevertheless, it is recommended to supplicate with comprehensive words (jawami' al-kalim), meaning words that are few in لفظ (wording) but great in meaning, encompassing the good of this world and the hereafter, such as: "Our Lord, grant us in this world good and in the Hereafter good, and protect us from the torment of the Fire," or supplicating for well-being (al- 'afiyah), and avoiding supplications for specific, minor matters.
