Is there expiation for the sin of praying to enter Hell in exchange for the fulfillment of a worldly matter, and can one complete university studies after that?

It is not permissible to supplicate against oneself, whether it is an immediate or a conditional supplication, such as saying: "O Allah, if I enter college, then admit me to Hell." Whoever does this must repent and seek forgiveness. There is no harm in enrolling in university to complete one's studies, and this will not be a cause for entering Hell if repentance is sincere and the servant remains steadfast in obeying Allah's command.
