Is it true that the Malikis permit epilation and plucking for women?!

Among Malikis, namṣ refers to plucking the eyebrows, or generally removing hair from the face. The well-known position in the Maliki school is that the prohibition of namṣ, in both its meanings, applies to women who are forbidden from adorning themselves, such as a woman in mourning (muḥiddah) or a widow (mutawaffā ‘anhā). Thus, the reported prohibition of namṣ is understood to apply to this specific situation, as evidenced by its permissibility for Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and it is not considered an unlawful alteration of Allah's creation.
