What is the ruling on a son praying with his mother, or with his mother and sister in congregation at home, and what is its method, and is it permissible for a woman to pronounce the Iqamah?

If the boy is discerning (usually seven or eight years old, or less or more depending on his comprehension), then his imamate is sufficient for his mother and sister. They should stand behind him, or both stand behind him if there are two of them. The boy should also perform the Iqamah (definition). However, if the boy is not discerning, then his imamate is not valid, nor is his mother's imamate for him or for any man; rather, he should pray alone. It is permissible for a woman to lead her daughter in prayer, and they should stand in the same row. In this case, it is also permissible for her to perform the Iqamah.
