As long as you know that drawing animate beings is forbidden, it is not permissible for you to undertake it. Your tearing them up after drawing them does not make it permissible for you to draw them in the first place. You must strive against your soul to abandon what Allah has forbidden, for whoever strives against their soul for the sake of Allah will be guided to a straight path. Allah Almighty said: "And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good" (Al-Ankabut: 69).
