What is the ruling of Islam regarding a son who married, without his parents' consent, a beautiful, well-mannered, educated, and dignified girl from a conservative family, with nothing to fault her, but the parents rejected her because she is not from the same town, even though they are from the same country?

If he has not yet married, he must obey his parents and refrain from marrying this woman. However, if the marriage has already taken place, he must seek forgiveness and strive to please his parents with kind words, good deeds, and gifts. He is not obligated to divorce his wife; rather, he should treat her kindly and live with her honorably.
