Is it permissible to harm an oppressor and have him imprisoned on a charge unrelated to his oppression if that is the only way to restore rights?

A person who has been wronged and oppressed is permitted three things: Pardoning and overlooking in order to attain the reward of the pious and patient, which is the best option; or withholding pardon so that the offender meets his Lord; or retribution, by retaliating with an equivalent act without exceeding the limit. Paying a bribe to someone who has been unjustly imprisoned is not a form of injustice, nor does it remove the injustice, nor does it restore rights. The oppressed should fear Allah and be patient, for their right is preserved in the Hereafter, and they may supplicate against the oppressor, though pardoning and patience are better for them.
