Should I repent now despite my parents' objection, as they are asking me to postpone it until summer after the exam period ends?

Islam calls for taking the initiative to repent sincerely and to adhere steadfastly to Allah's path, for in it lies the expiation of sins, entry into Gardens, and happiness in this world and the Hereafter. It warns against turning away from obedience to Allah, for it is the cause of misery and hardship. There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. Therefore, it is not permissible to delay repentance due to the request of parents or for any other reason, while still being obligated to honor them, treat them kindly, and obey them in matters that do not contravene the Sharia.
