Does an unwillingness to marry due to schizophrenia make the afflicted among the people of Hell, as stated in the Hadith: "And the people of Hell are five: the weak one who has no deterrent, those who are followers among you, who neither seek family nor wealth," and does this refer to eternal damnation in Hell or remaining there for a period of time?

Dubious revelatory texts must be understood in light of the definitive ones, because all of them are from Allah. The definitive texts confirm that whoever obeys the Prophet (peace be upon him), adheres to obligations, and abstains from prohibitions is promised Paradise. The Sharia excuses the weak, the incapacitated, and the sick, absolving them of blame for what they are unable to do. However, a person's weakness is held accountable if it is used as a means to commit forbidden acts and neglect duties, such as someone who is unable to marry but commits immoral acts. The dispraised weak person in the Hadith is one who is weak in faith, intellect, and insight, who does not guard against what harms them, does not purify themselves, and does not refrain from forbidden acts under the pretext of their inability to perform permissible ones. Therefore, there is no blame in refraining from marriage due to illness, as long as you abstain from immoral acts and strive to purify yourself.
