Are the bloody drops that follow the end of menstruation considered menses, and is sexual intercourse permissible in the presence of these drops?

If the drops are connected to menstruation before seeing purity (cessation of bleeding), then they are considered menstruation, unless the total duration of bleeding, including the drops, exceeds fifteen days. However, if the drops return after seeing purity, they are considered menstruation if they occur within the possible period (fifteen days). In this case, sexual intercourse is forbidden by consensus, based on the Almighty's saying: "And they ask you about menstruation. Say, 'It is a discomfort, so keep away from women during menstruation. And do not approach them until they purify themselves.'" Sexual intercourse is not permissible until after seeing purity and performing ghusl (ritual bath). If it is istihadah (irregular bleeding), then sexual intercourse is permissible.
