Is it permissible to pay a financial expiation instead of fasting for two months, which is required for unintentional killing, given that I suffer from a duodenal ulcer?

For someone obligated to perform the expiation for killing (fasting for two consecutive months) but is unable to do so due to a chronic illness or old age, scholars have two opinions:

1. The fasting remains an obligation upon them, and nothing else is required. 2. They must feed sixty poor people, by analogy with similar cases.

It must be known that in this situation, two expiations are required. Therefore, according to the opinion that feeding is obligatory, one must feed one hundred and twenty poor people.
