How can we reconcile Abdullah ibn Umar's statement: "Allah created four things with His Hand: the Throne, the Pen, Adam, and the Garden of Eden, then He said to the rest of creation: 'Be,' and it was," with the noble verse in Surat Ya-Sin: "Have they not seen that We created for them from what Our Hands have made, grazing livestock, and they are their owners?"

The verse: (Have they not seen that We have created for them, from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and so they are their owners?) [Ya-Sin/71] does not indicate that Allah created livestock with His hand, due to several contextual clues:

1. The mention of "hands" is in the plural form, added to the pronoun of majesty "Our."

2. The verb "made" (عمل) is not transitive with the preposition "bi" (بِ), unlike (خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ - I created with My own hands), which conveys literalness.

3. If everything were created by hand, Adam would not have had superiority over the rest of creation.

Scholars are of the view that the word "hand" (يد) in the Quran appears in singular, dual, and plural forms, and each has its own connotation. The phrase "I created with My own hands" signifies direct creation and تخصيص (special designation), unlike "from what Our hands have made," which refers to creation and bringing into existence. If equating them were correct, Adam and livestock would be equal in creation.
