Is there a specific, recommended length for the beard that was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?

There is no specific or recommended length for the beard; what is established is to leave it as it is. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had a thick beard, and the preferred action is to leave it as it is without shortening anything from it. The Hadith, "He used to take from his beard, from its length and width," is a fabricated and false Hadith. The beard includes the hair of the face, the cheeks, and the jawbones, and taking anything from it is not permissible due to the Prophet’s, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Let the beards grow," "Lengthen the beards," "Leave the beards to grow full," and "Let the beards be abundant." Shaving the beard is a greater transgression than taking from it.
