What is the ruling on despair, thoughts of suicide, and a servant's feeling that God has abandoned him despite his supplications and avoidance of the unlawful, especially with financial hardship and the inability to marry?

It is not permissible to blame or admonish Allah Almighty for His decrees, for Allah is Wise, He is not questioned about what He does, and He disposes of His creation as He wills. No one has a right over Him; what He gives is out of His grace, and what He withholds is out of His justice. One must be patient with His decrees and have a good opinion of Him, for He is more merciful to His servant than his own mother, and more knowledgeable of his interests. This world is a house of trial, and poverty is not a sign of the servant's insignificance. Allah tests His servant with what is in his best interest, as He Almighty said: "As for man, when his Lord tries him and honors him and bestows favors upon him, he says: 'My Lord has honored me.' But when He tries him and restricts his provision for him, he says: 'My Lord has humiliated me.' No!" Look at those who are beneath you in worldly matters so that you do not disdain Allah's blessings upon you, and reflect on the apparent and hidden blessings, such as the blessing of guidance to Islam and the soundness of your limbs.
