Should a suitor be rejected if his father's money is mixed with illicit funds, even though the suitor himself is of good character and upright?

The correct standard for choosing a husband is religion and character. A young man of good character and uprightness should not be rejected due to his father's sin, for Allah Almighty says: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." As for his eating from his father's money mixed with haram (definition), it is disliked if that is predominant, and forbidden if it is entirely haram, unless he is unable to earn a living, in which case it is permissible for him, and his ruling is that of one in dire necessity. Haram money becomes permissible for its rightful beneficiaries among the poor and needy. All these matters call for accepting the young man, not rejecting him.
