ما هو المعنى الدقيق للخسف والمسخ والقذف؟

The hadith indicates that there will be occurrences of engulfment by the earth, transmutation, and pelting (with stones) in this Ummah. This will happen when "al-qaynat" (singing girls/female singers) and "al-ma'azif" (musical instruments/instruments of amusement) become prevalent, and the consumption of alcoholic beverages increases. Engulfment by the earth (al-khasf) is the sinking of the ground, transmutation (al-maskh) is the transformation into hideous forms, and pelting (al-qadhf) is the raining down of stones from the sky.
