What is the ruling on reviling Jesus Christ, reviling the imams of disbelief, and describing Christians as foolish during dialogue with them, in response to their insulting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

Preachers must intend to guide people with gentleness, kindness, and good manners, for Allah Almighty says: "And do not dispute with the People of the Scripture except with that which is best." It is not permissible to disparage Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, for insulting Jesus is an insult to the Messiah and may lead to disbelief. Preachers must adhere to loftiness and refinement in addressing people, as Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade indecency and obscenity. If insulting disbelievers leads to greater mischief, such as their insulting our religion, then it is not permissible to do so as a pre-emptive measure, for Allah Almighty says: "And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge." Slandering a disbeliever is forbidden, and the slanderer deserves discipline. Dawah should focus on clarifying the truth and removing misconceptions, not on personal denigration. Guiding disbelievers is the primary objective of engaging with them, and insults do not serve this purpose. Similarly, insulting a non-belligerent disbeliever is forbidden.
