What is the detailed legal (Sharia) ruling regarding the actions of a mother-in-law who constantly demands money from her son and his wife, withdraws from their accounts without their consent, creates family problems, and threatens her son with torment due to her anger, at a time when the husband insists on obeying her and giving her money, even from his wife's own money, and refuses to help his wife with household chores because he considers it her responsibility?

Filial piety is one of the greatest acts of closeness [to Allah], and Allah’s pleasure is in the pleasure of one’s parents. Therefore, a wife should be happy with her husband's devotion to his mother and his obedience to her. If the mother is in need of money, the son must give her enough to cover her needs, as long as he has money. However, if the mother is not in need of money, the son is not obligated to give her what she asks for, especially if she spends it extravagantly. It is not permissible for a husband to take from his wife's money except with her permission and consent.
